She always yearned for freedom
She had to be free
Had to spread her wings
Spread them and soar
She died to be free
Free of past demons
Of herself, free from all
Of condemnation, judgment too
Freedom, all she thought
She ever thought of her dawn
Having the chains broken
The smell of freedom
Seemed so sweet
Yet but only a mirage
Freedom, her only song
A chance to be herself
To be liberated from it all
Freedom, so sweet
Yet just an illusion
