'She' almost died

Kenyans and the world wait with bated breath for the next general election more so, the aftermath. Will it be peaceful or will we witness a recurrence of history? If it were up to some, elections would be done away with. This is all due to the memories of the 2007/2008 post-election violence that engulfed the country in the wake of the disputed 2007 Presidential election.

The world still moves on

"Nobody cares about me... No one notices the troubles I go through; no one ever gives me a minute... No one is ever there... No one, no one..." We hear such words on a daily basis. Individuals always expect  everyone and everything to stop, pay attention to their troubles and even offer them solutions. Of course it is essential to open up to others and share one's troubles. Furthermore, it is said that a problem shared is a problem solved. 

The betrayal in silence

"Papa would never approve of it. If I spoke, it would hurt him. Further more, it would taint his image. what would mama say? Her friends will surely disown her and she will no longer be part of the in-group."

Condemn them not

he abortion debate still lingers on. The new Constitution also brought up the debate prior to its promulgation. Many breathed fire upon realizing that the constitution had a clause that seemed to support abortion. The clause (section IV article 26). Section (4) of article 26 states thus; “abortion is not permitted unless, in the opinion of a trained health professional.” Campaigns followed thereafter describing the sanctity of life. It was thus a question of who was a qualified health professional.
